Some words from Izzy on returning to the studios

‘m Izzy and I run Wishing Tree Yoga. I’ve been teaching yoga and mindfulness to children for the past five years in local primary schools. I’m also a qualified secondary school teacher and TeenYoga teacher and I also work part-time in a pastoral care role at Worthing College.
During lockdown, teaching yoga sadly had to take a backseat. I spent most of the time juggling my college job (working remotely, hot desking with a hamster) with looking after my two children at home. It wasn’t always pretty but we made it through and I’ll look back fondly at the weekend walks, discovering new places and new trees to climb. I was certainly glad when the school holidays arrived and we’ve spent a lot of our time at the beach or camping. Sad though I am that the summer is coming to an end, I’m so looking forward to being back on the mat at Salt Water Studios. I can’t wait to see students on a yoga mat again and help them find tools within themselves to navigate the next few months of life as we move into Autumn and whatever that will bring with it. I can’t wait to get back and be connected to the amazing and inspiring young people of Worthing!
