Fast forward 10 years, and a move back across the world to my home town, and I decided to finally pursue a dream that had been niggling at me for so many years. With my passion for Pilates, my historical love for dance and my desire to help people not only see, but feel better in themselves, I knew that this was the path for me. So I took a leap of faith and said goodbye to law and qualified as a Pilates Teacher with Body Control Pilates, one of the world’s leading Pilates institutes.
I am incredibly passionate about the functional and aesthetic physical changes that Pilates can bring about in the human body, as well as the benefits it can bring to the mind. I fell in love with Pilates and I want to take you on a journey to help you create a stronger, leaner and healthier you.
Synopsis
Fundamental/Intermediate Pilates | Wednesday 7pm
Join us for an hour of Pilates where you will lengthen, stretch and tone. Through a series of controlled exercises which target deep postural muscles, we aim to build strength and tone from the inside out. This class will work the body from head to toe and will leave you feeling energised. Suitable for absolute beginners as well as those wishing to progress their Pilates journey.
Fundamental Pilates | Thursday 9.30am
Join us for an hour where we will work through the fundamentals of contemporary Pilates. Through a series of controlled exercises which target deep postural muscles, we aim to build strength and tone from the inside out. This class will work the body from head to toe and will leave you feeling energised. Suitable for beginners or those new to the Body Control Pilates method.
Burn + Sculpt Pilates | Saturday 9am
Join us for an hour of Pilates where we take the fundamental Pilates exercises further, deeper and for longer; strengthening your deep abdominals and working your entire body that bit more. Start the weekend with strength and energy. Suitable for intermediate levels.

Why I love Pilates and am looking forward to teaching at SWS
Having practiced Pilates in Sydney and London I wanted to bring that same quality teaching, in a beautiful setting, to Worthing; and what better place to do this than Salt Water Studios. As soon as you walk into the studios you are instantly transported to a calmer, more invortaging place. Peace is easy to find here.
Pilates is all about working on spinal mobility, stability, control and developing core strength, while refining movement patterns. I LOVE the way it builds not only inner strength, but inner confidence. Some of the things to expect when you practice Pilates are:- better posture and body awareness- increased muscle strength and tone (especially your ‘core’ muscles)- more mobile joints and stronger bones- more streamlined waistline- better sleep (it’s great for improving the flow of blood and nutrients throughout the body)
As Joseph Pilates said “You will feel better in ten sessions, look better in twenty sessions, and have a completely new body in thirty sessions.”
My focus is to make a meaningful, positive impact on my clients minds and bodies. I offer small classes, open to all levels, and my individual programming allows every client to have a personalised journey specific to their posture and individual needs. So whether you’re new to Pilates, or you’re already an avid fan, I’m here to welcome you at Salt Water Studios with an open heart.
