Bio: I have practiced Pilates for many years and turned this passion into my career 5 years ago and haven’t looked back. I continue to study Pilates and with a deeper knowledge and understanding my passion for Pilates grows stronger. I run group classes and 1-2-1 sessions.
My qualifications include: Specialist Diploma in Mat Based Pilates, Pre and Post Natal Pilates & Nutrition, Pilates with Small Equipment, Pilates for Common Orthopaedic Conditions and Vertical Fusion Pilates (ballet/yoga/pilates – flow) as well as Barre Fusion. I am also trained on the Reformer. I am currently on a Conversion Course run by Body Control Pilates London.
I am also REPs (Register of Exercise Professionals) registered.
Whether completely new to Pilates or been practising for years, you would be welcome in my classes. Matwork exercises can be modified to suit all abilities.
Pilates is a method of exercise and movement with an emphasis on control, flowing and precise movement, core strength and postural alignment, flexibility and breathing.
Joseph Pilates wrote:
‘My method develops the body uniformly, corrects wrong posture, restores physical vitality, invigorates the mind and elevates the spirit.’
If you have never tried Pilates before, it is wise to have a 1-2-1 with me so I can give you the basics and see which class would suit you.
The classes are small (up to 12 people) and we will work through the whole body, standing, seated and lying on the mat. We also use small mat equipment, such as therabands, small Pilates balls and Pilates Circle.
