About Nikki

Hello beautiful soul! I’m Nikki and I run Mona Yoga. I started practicing yoga many years ago and instantly fell in love with how it made me feel. Stepping off my mat with a calmer mind and a stronger body was a sensation that I became addicted to, and I soon realised I wanted to share this amazing feeling with others. I completed my Yoga Teacher Training in India and since then have set out to share all of the amazing benefits that yoga can bring to your physical and mental health. My classes combine aspects of traditional asana with movements from other disciplines to create a well-rounded practice which works the body in a variation of ways and leaves the mind feeling calmer. I’d love to see you in class.

 

Synopsis

Strengthening Flow | Wednesday 5.45pm + Friday 5.15pm

A strengthening yoga class centred around building a stable body and a calm mind. Staying connected to our breath and our intuition as we flow, these classes are designed to challenge the body to move in new ways and cultivate mobility, stamina, coordination and strength. The class always ends with a lovely long relaxation to allow you to fully unwind, reconnect and let all the juices sink in

Some words from Nikki on getting back to the studio and the experience of lockdown

I am SO excited to be back to teaching in person after what has been a super challenging start to the year for everyone. Technology has been a blessing to keep us all connected and allowing us to continue our yoga journey in our own homes, but for me nothing beats the energy and physical interaction that we receive from real life classes. I have so missed the beacon of light that is Salt Water Studios over the past few months and I can’t wait to be back in this beautiful space and reconnect with the amazing humans that make up this community.
